THE BRONX - Seniors living in a housing development on Boston Road say they feel safer now that new security cameras have been installed in their building.

The eight new cameras were placed throughout the city-owned senior residence at 2440 Boston Road, which has more than 200 units.

"We are sending out a message at 2440 Boston Road to those who would create mischief: we're watching," says Councilman James Vacca (D-Bronx).

The new cameras were funded by a grant from the City Council.
