THE BRONX - Art is coming alive in Mott Haven with the debut of a new mural at the Betances Houses.

Amanda Nahu, an influential artist in Brazil, joined forces with artist Izulag and photographer Ricky Flores for the mural project around the borough.

The pop-up project was able to come to fruition due to a grant from Casita Maria Center for Arts & Education, Bronx Health Reach and NYCHA.

The trio says they wish to convey a message of living a colorful and healthy life with their murals.

The Betances Houses mural is expected to be complete by Wednesday. After that, another mural will appear at the Mitchell Houses.
