THE BRONX - The new year arrived in the borough with a bang, but not in a good way. Four confirmed Bronx shootings marred the first day of 2013.

According to police, the first shooting was reported less than two hours after midnight at 755 White Plains Road. The first officer-involved shooting happened on 183rd Street later that afternoon.

Authorities say the other two shootings Tuesday morning occurred on Webster Avenue and on 138th Street. None of the four incidents resulted in a fatality.
