New Year's sales entice BX shoppers

THE BRONX - Now that the holidays are over, Bronx retailers are using deep discounts to keep a steady stream of customers flowing into their stores.

After losing many shoppers to the blizzard, local retailers say they're hoping to make up for lost sales.

Experts say higher shipping and overseas labor costs may impact retail sales in 2011 so shop owners say they're trying to keep prices low for as long as they can.
