THE BRONX - Timothy Cardinal Dolan greeted crowds in Vatican City Sunday ahead of the papal conclave.

The New York Archbishop displayed his classic humor, telling reporters that he was ready to go home because he ran out of socks.

Dolan and another cardinal from Ghana are thought to be among the leading candidates for the next pope. The selection begins tomorrow in the Sistine Chapel.
