THE BRONX - Some members of the New York Knicks are doubling as botanists to help the Bronx and the enviornment.

Players teamed up with MillionTreesNYC as part of the "Trees for Threes" program, which allowed one tree to be donated for every three-pointer made at Madison Square Garden during the 2012-13 season.

The Knicks managed 453 three-pointers, and the number was more than doubled so that they could add 1,000 trees and more than 300 shrubs in Van Cortlandt Park.
