THE BRONX - The Bronx Bombers have introduced another new member of the team.

Carlos Beltran will be wearing the No. 36 pin stripes with the New York Yankees next season, but he's no stranger to New York City, having spent more than six years across town with the Mets.

The 36-year-old has a reputation for performing extremely well in the playoffs and is one of baseball's most popular Puerto Rican players.

Beltran is the third high-priced free agent to join the team this off-season, signing a three-year, $45 million contract. It's not official, but he's expected to play right field.

The Yankees have committed a combined $283 million in long-term contracts to Beltran, Jacoby Ellsbury and Brian McCann.
