THE BRONX - News 12 spoke to the woman who finished second among woman in last weekend's ING NYC Marathon.

Buzunesh Deba crossed the finish line with a time of 2 hours, 25 minutes and 53 seconds. The 26-year-old moved from Ethiopia to the Bronx eight years ago with her trainer and husband, Worku, who was also a professional runner.

After Deba passed the 18-mile marker during Sunday's marathon, she began to feel ill and lost some of her lead. Despite the setback, she managed to finish just 48 seconds behind the quickest woman, earning a silver medal for the event.

In addition to a massive running sneaker collection and two silver medals, Deba has first-place bragging rights to eight of 13 marathons she has run in. Her next event will be the next Boston Marathon, for which she has already began training.
