NEW YORK - Voters headed to the polls Tuesday to cast ballots in key races across the city and state.
Democrat Andrew Cuomo, the state's current attorney general, won by an overwhelming margin over Republican Carl Paladino to become the state's next governor.
In other statewide races, incumbent Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, a Democrat, squeaked by Republican Harry Wilson while Democratic state Sen. Eric Schneiderman defeated Staten Island District Attorney Dan Donovan to become the state's next attorney general.
Incumbent Democratic U.S. Sens. Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand were sent back to the nation's capital by comfortable margins.
