NEW YORK - News 12 has obtained a copy of the recording of a Bronx commanding officer talking about stop-and-frisk.

Activists say the recording of Deputy Inspector Christopher McCormack talking to another officer is the smoking gun that proves the NYPD's controversial crime-fighting tactic is discriminatory. He is heard allegedly talking to a patrol officer, who is now testifying against the NYPD in the stop-and-frisk trial, about stopping certain people.

The NYPD has defended the recorded comments, claiming McCormack was referring to a specific case and not endorsing racial profiling.
