News 12 speaks with Amanda Chauan, 9-year-old shooting victim; search continues for shooter
KINGSBRIDGE - Police have released a new photo showing the suspect they believe shot a young girl outside her Kingsbridge home on Friday night, and News 12 The Bronx spoke exclusively with the victim and her family.
Police have identified the suspect as 17-year-old Billy James Jr., who is not the man seen on a bicycle in a photo released by police yesterday.
Police say James rode past 3340 Bailey Ave. on a BMX bicycle and opened fire, hitting 9-year-old Amanda Chauan in the stomach.

Amanda was welcomed home by her family today after recovering at Jacobi Medical Center. The young girl put on a brave face and said the ordeal made her feel "a little nervous."
The Chauan family says they are axiously awaiting the arrest of the suspect. A $22,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to his arrest.
