THE BRONX - Current and former players from the New York Giants made a stop in the Bronx Monday to talk to students about building good character.

Mark Herzlich, Jay Bromley, Kelvin Sheppard and Amani Toomer stopped by the Eagle Academy in East Tremont to discuss the Character Playbook, an online course that is focused on building and developing students' character to create and maintain healthy relationships.

The program is in partnership with the United Way of New York City.

The NFL stars stressed the importance of integrity and how a strong background is the key to achieving one's dreams.

Students from the Eagle Academies in Harlem, Queens and Brooklyn took part in the inspirational event.

The Character Playbook will serve thousands of middle school students throughout New York City each year.
