THE BRONX - One nonprofit organization is taking Broadway from Manhattan into Bronx schools.

Inside Broadway was started and is funded by the City Council in an effort to bring the arts to schools that have been under-served.

Big dreams of being in the Broadway spotlight have been brought to P.S. 108, along with six other Bronx schools.

Program directors say students are given the Broadway edge with the help from their teachers, who are all former Broadway performers.

Students who previously did not have much exposure to the arts are now growing with the organization's assistance. They will be rehearsing every Monday and Wednesday to prepare for a performance at the end of the month. This year's performance will be full of classic rock songs.

The program will continue after the big show, as the students will attend a real Broadway show and take a look behind the scenes.
