Nor'easter brings pre-Halloween snow to Bronx

EASTCHESTER - Bronx residents knew there was a chance for snow Saturday, but they were surprised by just how much has fallen.

The snowfall brought a mix of joy and caution to the area. Business owners eager for some green, like hardware stores, were very happy to see the white-covered sidewalks. However, Con Edison reminded residents to beware of downed power lines and trees as the storm continued to pack quite a punch throughout the day.

The combination of precipitation and high winds made for some potentially dangerous conditions outside.

Now, some residents are wondering if this is just the start of a long, cold and snowy winter.
