THE BRONX - Nurses rallied at North Central Bronx Hospital today after services for labor and delivery were suspended and moved to Jacobi Medical Center.

Protesters say the suspension of services will be a strain on their pregnant patients. They say that asking patients to have their babies at Jacobi Medical Center is a hassle and a hazard.

Hospital executives say the move is designed to provide better resources and optimal staffing. They say no one will lose their jobs and that Jacobi Medical Center is only 4 miles away.

North Central Bronx Hospital is still offering prenatal and postnatal care.
