THE BRONX - Residents and community members held a march in Norwood tonight to raise awareness about a rash of muggings near Williamsbridge Oval Park.

Police in the 52nd Precinct say they're investigating at least five reported robberies in the past month. They say two suspects, believed to be teenagers, kick and punch their victims, and even threaten them with a knife, before stealing money and cell phones.

Officials say the incidents have often happened in the daytime. Without sketches or surveillance video, residents are afraid the suspects will strike again, but hope the march will help prevent future attacks.

Police say they've added extra undercover officers to patrol the park and surrounding areas. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
