Norwood fire displaces 2 families

NORWOOD - Authorities say a fire destroyed several apartments of a Norwood building Thursday, displacing at least two families.

The fire at 3037 Bainbridge Ave. started just after 12:30 p.m. and required 12 fire trucks and more than 60 firefighters to put it out, authorities say.

"We ran down and saw the billows of smoke and all the people here," says Rita Neff, who lives in the building.
