THE BRONX - With the Super Bowl XLVIII just over a week away, New York City is gearing up for the countless out-of-state visitors expected to file into the area.

The city's tourism organization NYC and Company has released an appropriately titled "5-Borough Playbook," that includes the best places to score some fun in the city, including the Bronx.

The guide highlights the Bronx Zoo as a family destination, along with the New York Botanical Garden and its indoor floral displays. Visitors can then head back outside to Wave Hill where views will likely still be covered in snow.

The playbook says to then venture to Van Cordlandt Park, where visitors and natives alike can ditch football for a little while and try out their ice-skating skills. Up next, a pilgrimage to Yankee Stadium where out-of-towners can hit the team store.

Finally, after being out in the cold weather and working up an appetite, the guide recommends a stop on Arthur Avenue to one or more of its fantastic restaurants.

The big game between Seattle and Denver will take place at MetLife Stadium on Feb. 2.
