NYC public schools, Catholic schools will be closed Wednesday

BROOKLYN - The New York City public schools will be closed on Wednesday due to the predicted snowstorm, according to the Department of Education.

After-school activities are also canceled for Wednesday, the department said.

The dedcision was made Tuesday so thatparents could have as much time as possible to make alternativeplans, the department said.

All Catholic Elementary Schools and Academies within the Diocese of Brooklyn (Brooklyn and Queens) will be closed Feb. 10 due to the anticipated inclement weather conditions.
