THE BRONX - Thousands of Bronx residents participated in a satisfaction survey conducted by the mayor?s office to find out which city agencies need improvement.

The questions on the survey covered a wide range of topics, including housing, crime, education and mass transit. Residents were asked to rate their neighborhoods and express their worries about where they live.

Most Bronx residents rated their neighborhoods as fair places to live, but some articulated concerns over alleged rising crime rates and higher mass transit prices.

The mayor?s office says it plans to use the results of the survey to hold city agencies accountable for improving services.

"Armed with this valuable feedback, we now have a much better idea of what is working and what isn't, and where to invest our limited resources,? Mayor Michael Bloomberg said in a radio address.
