NYC school aides laid off in budget cut

THE BRONX - More than 500 school aides lost their jobs Friday as part of a budget cut.

The Department of Education sent out pink slips to absorb a 5 percent cut to its $18 million budget. The Bronx alone is losing over 150 aides.
