THE BRONX - The New York City Housing Authority has begun to remove garbage from behind the Forest Houses after residents complained to News 12.

NYCHA says illegal dumping contributed to the trash pileup. Residents say despite the work being done to clear the remaining garbage, there's a lot more work ahead.

"This is what they do," says one resident. "They push a little bit, they take a little bit out and they fool people that they're trying to clean up."
