Many residents spent days in the cold after a heating pipe was damaged last Thursday.

THE BRONX - Heat and hot water are back for Bronxwood tenants impacted by a gas leak last week.

Many residents of the Pelham Parkway Houses toughed it out in the cold for several days after crews damaged a heating pipe on Waring Avenue last Thursday.

A temporary boiler was brought in to provide some warmth to affected tenants until a full restoration was made.

NYCHA says that all heat and hot water problems were resolved Tuesday afternoon.
