MORRISANIA - Three people are in custody after police say officers witnessed a shooting in Morrisania Monday afternoon.

Police have not released many details, but say officers witnessed a shooting involving all three suspects.

Witnesses say the trio attempted to flee in a blue Dodge Magnum near 167th Street and Intervale Avenue, but they crashed into a black Honda Civic.

The driver and two passengers allegedly fled the scene of the accident on foot but were captured by police a short while later.

Police also say that they recovered a gun nearby.

There's no word on the condition of the Honda driver or whether anyone was injured in the shooting.
