THE BRONX - Three people were shot at East 183rd Street and Creston Avenue Thursday afternoon, police say.

The victims include a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound in the neck and a 21-year-old woman with bullet wounds in the neck and leg. Both were in the same livery cab at the time of the shooting and were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital.

A 28-year-old man was transported to North Central Hospital by private means. Police say he was standing nearby.

News 12 obtained video from Juan Mercedes that shows a man lying in the street at the scene as an ambulance arrived. The man's arm was moving as EMS loaded him onto a stretcher. Another witness' video showed the scene from a different angle.

The livery cab had at least three bullet holes in the rear, driver-side door.

Witnesses say there was a fight a few blocks away in a bodega. They say the two victims fled into the car and were shot by the people they were fighting with.

News 12 was nearby at the time and witnessed dozens of police officers running toward the neighborhood with weapons drawn, seeking the suspect.
