NYPD conducts tactical exercise in Rodman's Neck

THE BRONX - The NYPD conducted a tactical safety exercise at the Rodman's Neck Firing Range today.

The drill, which included members of the Organized Crime Control Bureau and Emergency Service Unit, is used to prepare officers for attacks similar to the ones in Mumbai in 2008.

Officers were tested on their response to explosions and active shooters in multiple locations.

Today's exercise was the ninth of its kind conducted since the Mumbai attacks.
