NYPD: Cyclist dies after crash with U-Haul van

THE BRONX - Officials say a man who was biking at East 158th Street and Grand Concourse has died after being struck by a U-Haul van.

The incident happened around 5:15 p.m. Sunday.

The 43-year-old male victim was taken to Lincoln Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Officials say that the van was being driven by a unidentified 24-year-old man traveling southbound on the Grand Concourse. They say the driver stayed on scene after the collision.

The victim's name is not being released until his family can be notified.
