THE BRONX - An escaped prisoner surrendered to police at the 48th Precinct Tuesday afternoon, investigators say.

Narciso Rosario, 19, escaped police custody in handcuffs at the intersection of East 178th Street and Hughes Avenue Monday night. A 26-year-old man was also arrested there.

Rosario had previously been arrested on a burglary charge in May 2016, police say.

He turned himself in accompanied by a lawyer.
