THE BRONX - Police say a man stabbed his 58-year-old roommate to death after an altercation in the Bronx early Tuesday morning.

Neighbors say there was a party going on inside apartment 2H at 2724 University Ave. between 1 and 3:30 a.m. They say the party involved alcohol.

Officials say surveillance video shows the victim stumbling in the aftermath of the attack and the suspect leaving in a cab.

They identified the suspect as the victim's roommate, 51-year-old Jose Torres.

Police say the victim was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital.

Torres remains at large, police say.
