NYPD officer killed in crash laid to rest

THROGS NECK - One of the NYPD officers killed in a crash on the Bronx River Parkway was laid to rest today.

Friends, family and fellow officers said goodbye to police officer Hoyoung Kim. Kim, 32, and officer Edwin Paulino were killed, and four women were injured after the car they were riding in hit a guard rail. The crash happened Sunday at East 233rd Street and the Bronx River Parkway. Police are investigating whether alcohol played a role in the accident.

Kim and Paulino worked at the 32nd precinct in Harlem.
