THE BRONX - Authorities say an NYPD officer was struck by a cab today while chasing a burglary suspect.

The 45-year-old officer was hit at around 3 p.m. at 3047 Hull Ave. The officer was transported to Montefiore Medical Center in stable condition.

Lt. John Grimpel says the cab driver may be charged with driving with a suspended license. The burglary suspect is still on the loose.
