NYPD recruits begin multicultural training exercises

NEW YORK - More than 1,200 NYPD recruits are taking part in multicultural training exercises this week.

Today, the group marched from the Adam Clayton State office building to the Apollo in Harlem. The march is a part of an immersion course called Advancing Community Trust.

The recruits will take part in activities such as role playing in order to get more comfortable and sensitive while serving all cultures in New York City.

The recruits will graduate on Monday, then they will be assigned to their respective precincts.
