NYPD releases photo of man wanted for shooting 9-year-old

The NYPD has released a photo of the alleged gunman who shot and injured a 9-year-old girl on Bailey Avenue in the Bronx last night.

The girl, Amanda, was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

KINGSBRIDGE - Police are looking for a man who rode a bicycle as he shot a girl last night in Kingsbridge.

The shooting happened at around 10 p.m. last night on Bailey Avenue near 223rd Street. Police say the suspect opened fire on the street, hitting the 9-year-old girl, Amanda, in the stomach. It's not known if she was the intended target.

The NYPD has released a photo of the alleged gunman, who apparently fled the scene on a BMX-style bicycle.

The girl was taken to a nearby hospital. Police say she's expected to survive.

Police say a $22,000 reward is now being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
