THE BRONX - The NYPD says that an armed 14-year-old fatally shot by officers last weekend was in a gang.

According to police, Shaaliver Douse was a member of "Nine Crew." They also say that the gun he had been using at the time of his death was traced back to Kentucky.

Douse had allegedly fired shots at someone on 151st Street and Courtlandt Avenue early Sunday morning. Two cops in the area ordered him to drop his weapon, and fired one fatal round when he refused.

The teen had been charged with attempted murder back in May for the shooting of a 15-year-old. The case was dismissed when the victim said he could not identify the gunman.
