Tonight's game marks the first sporting event in the Bronx since the Boston attack.

THE BRONX - Police increased security at tonight’s Yankees game following the bombings at the Boston Marathon.

The NYPD increased the number of officers on patrol while also upping the bomb squad's resources. Fans walking into the stadium were also checked by bomb-sniffing dogs.

Counterterrorism officers were also standing at the entrance to each gate throughout the night.
