THE BRONX - The NYPIRG Straphangers Campaign has released its 10 best and worst moments for subways and buses in New York City.

Topping the list was the "Pizza Rat Video" after a subway rider captured the rodent carrying an entire slice of pizza down a set of stairs in a New York City subway station.

Other worst moments making the lists were the MTA's declining performance and inability to respond to an aging system, severe overcrowding and the 25 cent fare hike that happened back in March.

Topping the list were some brighter moments, including the five-year, $26 billion capital program approved to invest in the future of New York City transit.

The list also includes the historic event of Veronique "Ronnie" Hakim becoming the first woman president of the transit system.

Noteworthy mentions were the MTA expecting to reach its goal of more select bus service routes by 2017.
