THE BRONX - The New York Public Library is asking for the public?s support to help prevent massive budget cuts.

The library says it will have to eliminate 10 branches citywide, slash service to four days a week, reduce programs and cut job search services.

The library has raised nearly $122,000 and received more than 120,000 letters of support.
