Off-duty corrections officer shot in the Bronx

THE BRONX - An off-duty New York City correction officer hasbeen shot. Police responded to a 911 call early Friday morning on a personshot in the Bronx. They found the 38-year-old correction officerwith four gunshot wounds. Police say the correction officer was shot twice in an arm andtwice in the buttocks. He is in stable condition at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital. No one has been arrested in the shooting. Investigators are looking into what led to the shooting.
