Officials investigate 4-alarm fire on White Plains Road

THE BRONX - Fire officials are investigating the cause of a four-alarm fire that broke out this afternoon on White Plains Road.

Officials say the fire broke out around 2 p.m. at 1227 White Plains Road on the sixth floor of the apartment building.

Residents say the fire burned through at least four apartments before firefighters were able to contain the flames.

Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
