THE BRONX - Department of Education officials voted Tuesday night to close or relocate three schools in the Bronx.

The University Heights High School will relocate to other already existing schools. The Bronx Haven School will also close and merge with the Alfred E. Smith School. The Alfred E. Smith building trades program is being shut down.

Many community members came out to the vote for an unsuccessful last-minute push to keep the schools open.
