THE BRONX - Bronx residents were part of a global movement to end violence against women today. 

One Billion Rising has the support of more than 160 countries, all to spread a message of anti-violence. More than 100 events took place across New York City.

In Morris Heights, about 50 people took part in a flash mob to raise awareness about violence against women.
