Opening arguments continue in murder trial of grandmother

THE BRONX - Opening arguments continued Tuesday in the murder trial of 91-year-old grandmother from the Bronx.

Prosecutors say Nellie Holcutt was tortured and killed by her neighbor?s niece, Sparkle Daniel, back in 2003.

In court Tuesday, detectives described how the victim was found bound and gagged to a chair. Daniel admits to being present at the time of the crime but claims it was her friend Nadine Panton who killed the woman. They both face first-degree murder.
