THE BRONX - It may not be sunbathing weather, but Orchard Beach is open again more than one month after Superstorm Sandy shut it down.

City parks employees and other cleanup crews have been hard at work to restore the popular Bronx spot.

The beach has more to offer than its sand. Residents often flock to the area for its handball and basketball courts.
