THE BRONX - More than 150 people braved the clouds and rain today to walk in Van Cortlandt Park for suicide awareness.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention held its first-ever 'Out of the Darkness' walk in the Bronx this morning. Participants affected by suicide brought photos of loved ones lost to suicide to display on tables along with messages of support.

The walk raised money for mental health research and outreach for those affected by suicide.
