PARKCHESTER - The owner of Zaro's Bread Basket says he will bake once again.

Stuart Zaro says his Parkchester bakery will reopen after the Health Department shut it down earlier this month, citing more than 60 violations. Inspectors found live mice and cockroaches in food and non-food areas, as well as cross-contamination involving raw foods.

"We spent a lot of time and effort to gut and renovate the back room," says Zaro. "This is so we can be back and better than ever."
