THE BRONX - Students with disabilities celebrated the end of the year Tuesday with a circus performance to show their talent.

The event was part of the Circus Arts and Music Program at P.S. 10, located on Lafayette Avenue. Organizers said it was a great opportunity for the kids.  

"It allows our students to focus better, it builds on the skills that we work on all day long and it allows them to show it off in performances like this," Principal Barbara Hanson said.

Councilman James Vacca also helped secure funding for the program.

"It allows students to work with each other, to get to know each other, to show their talents, to show off, to learn of their talents, all those things are incredible attributes that sometimes the academic day doesn't get to," he said.
