THE BRONX - A local elementary school has received a brand new name and a fresh start.

P.S. 357 on Lydig Avenue has officially been renamed Castore Educational Complex in memory of former chairman for Community Board 11, Dominic Castore.

Students, families and local officials all gathered to cut a ribbon for the new building, which just opened at the beginning of this school year.

Castore served as a community leader for 21 years.
