THE BRONX - Students from pre-K to Grade 5 at P.S. 36 celebrated what would have been Dr. Seuss' 110th birthday.

Dr. Seuss' birthday coincides with National Read Across America Day, which encourages children to celebrate a love of reading. As part of the festivities, older students read their favorite Dr. Seuss books to younger students at the school.

Teachers say they've celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday at P.S. 36 for more than 10 years and add it's a great way for them to help ESL and special education students expand their reading skills.
