THE BRONX - Students at P.S. 55 collected clothing, toiletries and other necessities to donate to the Franklin Women's Shelter.

It is the third time the students have donated items to the Taking A Stand for Kindness program. Organizers say many of the students come from low-income families and were willing to contribute whatever they could.

The students also put on a music and dance performance for the women's shelter.
