PAL Summer Playstreets helps BX kids beat the heat

THE BRONX - The Police Athletic League is taking it to the streets across the Bronx for another summer.

For over 100 years, the PAL has been setting up safe places for thousands of kids through its Summer Playstreets program.

The program closes off streets and utilizes other public areas for athletic and recreational equipment, as well as arts and crafts, to make a fun experience for the kids.

Playstreets are set up Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The program runs through August 19.
